Redecoration update

We do not yet have a start date for the external redecorating of Heron Island, but are expecting one shortly. The association will advise members as soon as we know it.

The following items will be decorated as part of the specification:

• Widow frames (where not replaced with uPVC)
• External doors, frames and latches (where not replaced with uPVC)
• Garage doors and frames
• Soffits and bargeboards
• Timber frames to bays (where not replaced with uPVC)
• Porch ceilings and walls
• Balcony timbers
• Balcony railings
• Garden railings
• Metal garden gates

Guttering and downpipes should also be cleared and cleaned. 

As the Maintenance representative on the HIRA committee, David will try to coordinate the decorating activities to best suit our needs. 

It is better if you can be at home when your property is decorated, so that you can make sure that everything is done to your satisfaction. Please note that the redecorating includes balcony and garden railings. In order for this to be done effectively, the decorators need access to both sides of the railings, so you will need to cut back any vegetation that prevents this. If you choose not to do this, the railings will not be decorated.
